"Fan communities are becoming political"
Abstract
Last May 7, the professor at the University of Southern California (USC) gave an open class at Universidad Austral School of Communication, in which he lectured on transmedia narratives in the current stage of participatory culture and developed the concept of “civic imagination”, which consists in the resignification of fictional heroes based on social and political demands carried out by groups of citizens in different parts of the world.
