Responsabilidad internacional por persecuciones políticas en Venezuela. El caso Sosa y otros desarrollos generales y regionales

Abstract

The judgment of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights in the Sosa case, and developments within the OAS and other contexts, confirm the inadmissibility of discrimination and measures that adversely affect political dissidents, as well as of a misinterpretation of the principle of non-intervention in State affairs in order to avoid criticism and peaceful external initiatives, which are admissible in the face of systematic violations
of human rights if certain conditions are met, as confirmed by an analysis of the Venezuelan case.
