The full realization of economic, social and cultural rights, an unsatisfied aspiration: The situation of persons deprived of liberty

The seclusion of a person in a prison establishment imposes certain particular obligations to the State, directed to enforce the rights of the imprisoned subject, which have not been restricted due to the imprisonment. In that sense, the present Report has the objective to present a reflection of the imprisoned individuals ́ situation and the States international obligations particularly related with the exercise of the economic, social and cultural rights in prison.
