Review of the thirtieth anniversary of the reform of the National Constitution of the Argentine Republic (1994-2024)

Abstract

August 22, 2024 will mark the thirtieth anniversary of the sanction, by the General Constituent Convention, of the last reform of the Argentine Constitution in the city of Santa Fe. In this sense, it is auspicious to highlight such an event through of the analysis of the reform process, from its antecedents until the implementation of the reformed constitution on August 22, 1994.

Alberto Manuel García Lema, Universidad de Buenos Aires

Negociador por el Partido Justicialista de los acuerdos para la reforma constitucional desde 1986 en adelante. Convencional nacional constituyente, miembro de la Comisión Redactora y de Coincidencias Básicas (1994). Exprocurador del Tesoro de la Nación (1991-1995). Vicejefe de Gabinete de Ministros (1995-1996). Conjuez de la Corte Suprema de Justicia de la Nación (2002 en adelante). Profesor de Derecho Constitucional de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (1973-2008) y en distintos años en la Universidad del Salvador y en la Universidad Austral.
